Carol Mangiagalli is possibly South Africa’s foremost naïve artist whose whimsical, charming and colourful works reflect everyday rural, village or city life with a quirky sense of humour. Beach and Boathouse is a Cape seaside village set against dramatic mountains, charming cottages with the beach, dogs, fisherman and boating folk. Displayed at the Portfolio Collection offices in Cape Town.
Carol paints the frames for each work and eight of her artworks have graced the covers of the Portfolio Bed & Breakfast and Portfolio Retreats Collection between 2000 to 2011.
