Unframed oil on canvas, signed and dated 1994 on the back of the canvas by the artist.
The canvas was purchased in Livingstone in the late 1990s from the artist and was displayed in the Westby-Nunn Cottage at Klippe Rivier Country House in Swellendam.
Stephen Kappata is regarded as one of Zambia’s foremost naïve artist, his work was well known for its colonial political expression. Stephen’s artwork was exhibited in London, Paris and Zambia and his canvases hang in museums, foundations, universities and public collections around the world.
